We are looking for a Claims Manager. As a claims manager, you must be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents. A high degree of organizational ability is essential due to the amount of information. Since you will be using technology to expedite your work, a degree of computer knowledge is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Claims Manager:
- Investigating, evaluating and settling insurance claims
- Determining whether the insured’s policy covers the claimed loss
- Deciding an appropriate amount the company should pay out
- Ensuring that claims are not fraudulent
- Contacting claimant’s employers or doctors for additional information if the claim is questionable
- Conferring with legal counsel when needed
- Negotiating settlements and authorizing payments
- Maintains files on all policyholders and claim histories.
- Compiles all information to arrive at a final decision to accept or reject the insurance claim.
- Notifies claimant on the outcome of the claim.
- Addresses any complaints or queries from policyholders with regard to claims.
- Determines the cost to be covered by the insurance company.
- Draws up and processes paperwork related to the claim.
- Submits official claims to the insurance company.
